Toray Inc., PP spunbond to rise as global complex manufacturer

Toray Advanced Materials Korea Inc.(Rep. Lee young-kwan) rises as global complex spunbond maker on the target of achievement around $1 billion amount on sale in single item in 2020.

Accordingly China factory will be newly constructed, which is facilitated producing items amounted 20 thousand ton in July of this year and is planned to complete Indonesia factory. Also it is being reviewed to set up a factory in India around 2015~2016, of which number of newborn babies is one of top record.

As expected, 80 thousand ton amount of last year goes up to 260 thousand ton of 2020 year, which is passing through course of next year? 120 thousand ton and 160 thousand ton of 2015 year.

Lee young-kwan, representative said, "The number of Worldwide Newborn babies reached 61million including 26million of India and 21 million of China. Market in Chinese coastal areas like Kwangju and Tianjin and Indonesia will give spur firm? expansion above all."

As India market is graded still immature at national income stages, the company will fully enter that country? market in 2015 or so, checking whether people? income would increase or not.

Technology progress will be made. The company has ambition to overwhelm hygiene and diaper market with development of soft elastic natural-like materials such as chemical fiber material that is gradually changed into natural fibers.
